Additional Info

The NMBCC was named in honor of the first African American man, Marcellus Neal, and woman, Frances Marshall, to graduate from Indiana University. Today, we are a one-of-a-kind, dedicated “living history” space for students to explore racial identity and express the values of a diverse and engaged learning community.

We collaborate with several university entities to provide academic and other resources to help students navigate the college experience, support their academic success, and enable them to overcome obstacles that might hinder their pursuit of a degree.

Support from generous donors like you makes all of this vital work possible. Thank you so much!
