Discover how the arts-based wellness program at the museum utilizes a trauma-informed approach in museum education. Through in-depth engagement with an object of one’s own choosing from the museum’s permanent collection, discussion, and personal research, participants will learn how our personal experiences shape our responses to works of art. 

 

About the Instructor: 

Lauren Daugherty is the arts-based wellness experiences manager at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at IU Bloomington. In this role, she works with IU students, faculty and staff, and community members to use works of art in the museum’s collection in conjunction with artmaking to promote health and well-being.
