O'Neill School 50th Anniversary Celebration

Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the school are invited to enjoy a morning of discussions on timely topics. Campus and school tours will be offered in addition to behind-the-scenes views of some iconic Hoosier locations. The day will conclude with an hors d’oeuvre reception, allowing you time to grab dinner at your favorite Bloomington restaurants or see a show on campus.

Schedule of Events:
9:15-10 a.m.
Check-in and coffee bar open. Students will be available to provide tours of the school.

Reminisce with friends old and new over a pint of Upland Beer. This newly renovated pub in the IMU is open for the O’Neill community all afternoon for you to come-and-go.

Take a walking tour of campus with John Summerlot or go behind-the-scenes at the IU Auditorium.

Tour Memorial Stadium or the Research and Teaching Preserve’s field lab at Griffy Woods
Indiana University Memorial Stadium and Research and Teaching Preserve

4:15-4:45 p.m.
Students will be available to provide tours of the O’Neill School.

5-7 p.m.
50th anniversary reception with Dean Mooney
Showalter House, IU Foundation

Registration is free.

Getting Around:
Parking is available in the Fee Lane Parking Garage and at other garages across campus. All CH and ST spaces are free on Saturday. Learn more about parking options on the Office of Parking Operations website.

Chartered buses are available to transport attendees to the afternoon tours and evening reception. Chartered buses are also available to bring you back to the Fee Lane Parking Garage, the Hyatt Place Bloomington, and SpringHill Suites at the end of the evening.

Bringing the family? Staying for a long weekend? Let us humbly recommend the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art, the Lilly Library, the WonderLab Museum, Oliver Winery, IMU Bowling & Billiards, or shopping along Bloomington’s square. Also, consider attending the Singing Hoosiers Fall Concert or The Lucky Star (L’Étoile) opera on campus.
