Jazz pianist and SPEA faculty member Monika Herzig will engage the audience through performance, historical tidbits, trivia questions, and sing-alongs overflowing with holiday spirit. Leave the shopping, wrapping, and baking for another time and give yourself the gift of pure holiday musical bliss. Invite a friend and make it your special holiday outing! About the Instructor:

IU senior lecturer Monika Herzig is the author of David Baker: A Legacy in Music (IU Press, 2011), and Experiencing Chick Corea: A Listener’s Companion (Rowman and Littlefield, 2017). She is also the chair of the research committee for the Jazz Education Network and editor of Jazz Education in Research and Practice (IU Press). As a multi-award-winning jazz pianist, Herzig has toured the world. Her work has been featured on NPR and JazzWeek
