Great Art Deserves to Live Forever
Thanks to IU’s Virtual World Heritage Laboratory, it can.
The Laboratory recently partnered with the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, to create high-resolution 3-D digital models of 1,250 Uffizi sculptures. The models include some of the most admired pieces in the history of art—like the Medici Venus, the Medici Faun, and the Ariadne—and will be freely available to the public online by 2020.
Ancient art, rendered eternal…thanks to the help of IU.
