Get a spirited email address

When you graduated from IU, you probably gave up your IU email address. We have good news! As an alum, you can get an IU Alumni email address.

When you do, it will look a little different than your student address. Your address will now be yourusername@alumni.iu.edu and be hosted by Google.

Alumni email is hosted by Google Workspace for education use, which is restricted in some countries including China. Find out if Google Workspace is restricted in your country.

Your IU Alumni email account announces your IU affiliation to the world—and informs potential employers where you graduated from before you say a single word.

To create an IU Alumni email, you must first create or sign in to your My IU account. Once signed in, you’ll be able to create your @alumni.iu.edu email address.
