The IU Alumni Association funds a variety of alumni communities. There are currently three types of alumni communities: chapters, constituent societies (schools), and affiliate groups (special-interest groups).

Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, and the funding formula differs for each type of alumni community. Within this section of the Volunteer Intranet, you can see how your group’s allocation is determined, plus find detailed information about IUAA’s financial policies and guidelines.

Insurance Coverage

You’re covered. Here’s how.

Alumni group activities are insured through IUAA’s General Liability policy, but only with respect to sponsored activities or events performed on IUAA’s behalf. A Certificate of Liability Insurance can be obtained from your IUAA staff liaison for distribution to vendors that request insurance proof.
