IUAA-Colorado: Hoosier Pass Hiking

Hello Hoosier, We look forward to you joining us for the IUAA-Colorado Hoosier Pass Hike on Saturday, June 27th!
Event Details: Hoosier Pass Trailhead, CO State Highway 9, Blue River, CO 80424 (approximately 11 miles south of Breckenridge and 5 miles north of Alma)
Meet Time: 10:00 a.m. at the trailhead parking area
Hike Information: • Approximately 3 miles roundtrip • Easy-to-moderate difficulty • Elevation: 11,542 feet • Social, self-paced hike
We’ll begin together with a group photo before participants continue hiking at their own pace. There will not be a formal group meetup at the conclusion of the hike. Feel free to wear IU attire or red gear if you have it! Kristi and Bryan, IUAA Board Members hosting this event, will be wearing IU gear so we’re easy to spot.
Important Notes: • Parking at the trailhead is limited, so please plan accordingly and allow extra arrival time • Hiking at high altitude can be physically demanding • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk • This event is weather permitting • Cell phone coverage may be limited or unavailable in the area • Mountain weather can change quickly, so please bring layers and come prepared • Children must remain with a parent or guardian at all times • Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed and under control throughout the event • Please practice Leave No Trace principles and pack out all trash
Please bring water/hydration, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, proper hiking shoes or boots, and layers or a light jacket for changing mountain conditions.
