Find community, make an impact

The power of collective generosity
These circles help donors combine their resources to support a wide range of initiatives that improve lives at Indiana University and beyond.
Connect with our giving circles
With four giving circles to choose from, you can find a group that aligns with your philanthropic interests. Each group awards annual grants, with active circle members determining which proposals receive funding.

Black Philanthropy Circle
The Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC) seeks IU alumni and friends who understand the impact of philanthropy and want to drive transformative change. Each year, our grants fund a variety of projects intended to build strong support systems and networks that help people from all backgrounds thrive at IU.

Women’s Philanthropy at IU and its affiliate group, the Women’s Philanthropy Circle, strive to create a legacy that will benefit generations to come—at IU and beyond. Whether it’s supporting new projects, mentoring tomorrow’s philanthropic leaders, or cheering on women’s Little 500 riders, our work is grounded in the power of community and strategic grant giving.

Get funding for your program or idea
Awarded annually, Affinity Giving grants provide financial support for a wide range of initiatives, from academic enrichment programs and student support services to groundbreaking research and community outreach endeavors. All IU students, faculty, and staff—across all campuses—with the capacity to manage and effectively utilize a grant are encouraged to apply.

Apply for complimentary membership
Each Affinity Giving circle requires members to make a minimum donation. With this potential financial constraint in mind, we created Investing in Our Leaders. The program sponsors a limited number of memberships each year, opening the door for more participants with the expertise, time, and dedication to make a difference.

Make a gift that makes a difference
Every donation fuels our ability to award annual grants to a variety of initiatives and needs across IU. Over the years, our circles have supported countless proposals—from student scholarships and mental health resources to community health clinics and theatrical performances.
