Women's Philanthropy

Empowering people, advancing humanity

Women’s Philanthropy at Indiana University unites people who are passionate about fueling progress across IU and around the world. Through meaningful connections, immersive learning experiences, and purposeful giving, we strive to create a legacy that will benefit generations to come.

Transforming communities together

Whether it’s supporting new projects, mentoring tomorrow’s philanthropic leaders, or cheering on Women’s Little 500 riders, our work is grounded in the power of community and strategic grant giving.

Grants that fuel real-world impact

Each year, our grant program funds initiatives across all IU campuses, with awards typically ranging from $2,500 to $50,000. While we consider all proposals, our current focus areas are:

  • Improving public health
  • Creating global and service-learning experiences for IU students
  • Supporting leadership initiatives
  • Promoting and advancing STEM disciplines
  • Providing educational and cultural enrichment to the greater IU community

Since 2012, we’ve awarded over $2 million to nearly 200 projects, making an impact at local, regional, national, and global levels.
