Financial support from IU alumni and donors

Everyone who qualifies for an IU education—regardless of background or resources—should be able to pursue one. Thanks to generous alumni and other donors, we offer dozens of scholarships each year to help ease the financial burden of current and incoming IU students.

Applying is easy

You can apply for most of our scholarships through [One.IU]. Simply search for “IU scholarships” and apply between September 1 and March 10.

The application takes about 15 minutes to complete and automatically submits you for all scholarships matching your criteria. Some scholarships require you to provide more information, so check your online application periodically for these requests.

IU Foundation scholarships

The IU Foundation awards a multitude of scholarships each year. Most offer $1,000 to $2,000 per year to selected recipients.

If you are awarded an IU Foundation scholarship, you will be notified by the first week of May through your IU email address.

If you have questions, contact iufschol@iu.edu or 800-558-8311.
