IU Day 2026 begins in T-minus…
Questions, anyone?
To put it simply, IU Day is a worldwide event honoring Indiana University and the people who make IU possible (that’s you). Maybe you’re a student getting your start. Maybe you’re an alumnus well on your way. Maybe you’re a parent, friend, or fan with a special place in your heart for “old IU.” In any case, these IU connections are worth celebrating.
IU Day 2026 will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 22.
Here’s how you can join the festivities:
As many members of our IU family proudly proclaim, every day could be IU Day. But for the sake of throwing a unified “hail to old IU” event, we chose mid-to-late April for a couple of reasons.
Spring weather usually allows us to celebrate IU outdoors. IU Day moves slightly year to year to best accommodate campus and exam schedules, weekends, holidays, and other events. But as sure as spring follows winter, you can expect IU Day come April!
Most definitely. In fact, there are a whole host of opportunities (more than 1,800 to be precise!) to help IU students reach their full potential. From scholarships to fellowships to emergency aid and more, there’s no shortage of ways for you to make a life-changing difference.
If we may offer a suggestion, consider giving to the IU Student Support Scholarship, which was established on IU Day 2024 through the generosity of IU supporters like you. The fund supports students facing financial need across all IU campuses, helping ensure that they can complete their IU education.
The number of scholarships that can be awarded each year is determined solely by how much support the fund receives annually. So, by giving, you’ll make it possible to support more students who need our help the most.
It sure is. The Indiana University Foundation is a not-for-profit institution with the simple goal of providing IU with the financial support to deliver a world-class education.
