IUAA DC: Hoosiers on Hallowed Ground - Join us at Arlington National Wreath Laying Ceremony!

On Saturday, December 19, 2026, IUAA-DC will participate in the annual Arlington National Wreaths Across America event, a heartfelt occasion where we remember and pay tribute to the dedicated service members and their families.

For those IU Alumni with family or friends resting at Arlington National Cemetery, we recognize how important it is to ensure their memory is honored with a wreath. This event will include the opportunity to give back to families of Hoosiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Garrett Guinivan, a 2014 Hamilton Lugar and Army ROTC IU Alum, has created a list of Hoosiers buried at ANC and is building a book to tell their stories and honor their services.

If you are unable to attend but would like local IU alumni to place a wreath on your behalf and take a photo of the gravesite, please let us know. IUAA-DC will be happy to serve the larger IU community who is not able to attend this event in person.
