Aeons: Connecting Through the Ages

Join us for a milestone weekend celebrating 105 years of the Board of Aeons.
Reconnect with fellow Aeons, engage with current student members and university leaders, and celebrate the relationships, traditions, and shared experiences that have connected generations of Aeons for more than a century. Throughout the weekend, you'll have opportunities to rediscover IU, reflect on our shared legacy, and help shape the next chapter of the Society of Aeons.

Registration Information

  • Recent Graduates (Classes of 2021–2026): $150 per person
  • Alumni (Class of 2020 or earlier): $225 per person
  • Guests are welcome! Each attendee (including guests) registers at the rate corresponding to their own graduation year. Guests 16 years and younger attend free.

Here is what we have planned:

FRIDAY | Reconnect & Celebrate — Return to Bloomington, reconnect with fellow Aeons, and kick off the weekend at Presidents Hall with live jazz from the Jacobs School, Aeons history and memorabilia, reflections from President Emeritus Michael A. McRobbie, and a keynote from IU Bloomington Chancellor David A. Reingold. Then keep the evening going with an optional gathering at The Vault Pub, located in the Indiana Memorial Union.

SATURDAY MORNING | Engage with IU's Future — Begin with the inaugural Aeons Forum, bringing faculty, current students and alumni together for a provocative conversation about AI, learning and the future of an IU education, featuring Dr. Anne Leftwich. Then hear from IUAA Chief Alumni Officer Paul Clifford and spend lunch connecting directly with the current Board of Aeons.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON | Rediscover IU — Explore ideas born at IU that changed the world with IU historian John Summerlot and Dr. Richard DiMarchi, IU Distinguished Professor and pioneering scientist whose research helped lay the foundation for today's breakthrough GLP-1 drugs transforming the treatment of obesity and diabetes. Then enjoy time to rediscover campus and visit your favorite places.

SATURDAY NIGHT | Celebrate the Hoosiers — Go behind the scenes with tours of Memorial Stadium and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, then gather at the DeVault Alumni Center for IU Spirit Through the Ages—an energetic reunion tailgate and IU vs. Rutgers football watch party.

SUNDAY | Reflect & Look Ahead — Close the weekend over brunch with Society of Aeons elections and “Through the Aeons: Stories and Reflections on IU,” a special conversation with Curt Simic, President Emeritus of the Indiana University Foundation, and Terry Clapacs, former IU Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer—two longtime, legendary IU leaders and friends of Aeons sharing stories, perspective and reflections from decades at Indiana University.
