IU School of Optometry Alumni Weekend 2026

As IU School of Optometry's celebrates its 75th Anniversary, you are invited to join the school community for a very special Alumni Weekend on October 9-10.

Friday, October 9 will include the Alumni Golf Outing at Harrison Hills Country Club in Columbus, Indiana, hosted by the IUSO Alumni Association, and tours of the Atwater Eye Care Center and recent renovation of IUSO building.

The highlight of the weekend will be the 75th Anniversary Gala on Friday evening - an unforgettable event honoring our history, recognizing outstanding alumni with the Foley House Awards, and looking ahead to the future of IUSO. With a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and a festive atmosphere at the Indiana Memorial Union’s Alumni Hall, the gala promises to be a truly memorable evening.

The exact schedule on Saturday, October 10 will be shared once the IU Football start time is announced. The day will include continuing education hours, a behind-the-scenes tour of Memorial Stadium, and a game watch party. We will also host a mentorship reception for those alumni who choose to mentor IUSO students in the 2026-2027 school year (sign up by August 14 at go.iu.edu/iuso-mentor).

All alumni are warmly invited to attend any and all events throughout the weekend. We hope you’ll make plans now to join us as we celebrate 75 years of excellence and the vibrant community that makes IUSO so special. 

Note: The IOA Fall Seminar will be held in Bloomington on October 7-8. All IUSO graduates who attend are invited to attend the annual Waffle Breakfast hosted by the IUSO Alumni Association on Thursday, October 8 from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. in the IMU. More details will be shared this fall.
