A night honoring Anthony Droege, Warren Pepperdine, and The Georgina Joshi Foundation for their impact on the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend and the area arts community at large. Enjoy the company of fellow art lovers, patrons, and artists during the social hour with refreshments in the recently opened Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, just across the hall from the main event in the Louise E. Addicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall. The awards ceremony will feature talented students and faculty from the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts in tribute to the honorees and in thanks to your ongoing support.
 
Dr. Warren H. Pepperdine – Founding Leader of Theatre at Indiana University South Bend

As one of the pioneering faculty members of the theatre department, Dr. Pepperdine was responsible for establishing and building the program. In addition to directing the university’s theatre department, Dr. Pepperdine was a strong advocate for community engagement through the arts and he played a significant role in children’s theatre and community-based productions, helping make theatre accessible to audiences throughout the South Bend Region.

Dr. Anthony J. Droege III – Artist, Educator, and Builder of the Visual Arts at Indiana University South Bend

Dr. Anthony J. Droege III joined the faculty at IU South Bend after earning his Master of Fine Arts and quickly became a driving force in shaping the Fine Arts program during a period of significant growth and transformation. As both a practicing artist and dedicated educator, he helped cultivate a culture of creative excellence and fostered connections between the university and the wider arts community. Through exhibitions, lectures, and community engagement, he demonstrated the vital role artists and arts education plays in in shaping vibrant communities.

The Georgina Joshi Foundation

Celebrating the life and accomplishments of Georgina Joshi through inspiring students to pursue their artistic goals in music by providing education and career development opportunities for young musicians.

The Georgina Joshi Foundation provides educational and career development opportunities for musicians by awarding scholarships for students interested in careers in vocal performance. In addition, the Foundation works to encourage and support the public performance of music by providing awards to student composers as well as underwriting performances of Handel operas and oratorios.
