Exploring Love with Drs. John and Julie Gottman

September 29, 2026 at 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. EDT
The Explorers Club, 46 E 70th Street, New York, New York, 10021

Dr. Helen Fisher spent her life exploring the mysteries of love—and still found herself awed by its magic.

Now, the Kinsey Institute invites you to continue her journey of discovery for an evening in conversation with Drs. John and Julie Gottman, recipients of the inaugural Helen Fisher Distinguished Lecture Award. Having transformed marriage and relationships with proven, science-backed approaches for more than five decades, the Gottmans will share what their research has uncovered and answer your questions about love’s patterns and possibilities.

Anna Martin, host of The New York Times’ Modern Love podcast, will guide the conversation, with Dr. Justin Garcia, Executive Director of the Kinsey Institute and author of The Intimate Animal, offering additional insights on how sex, love, and relationships shift throughout our lives.

Join us for an intimate evening with world-renowned experts revealing what decades of research mean for the health and future of relationships today.

Ticket cost: $40 (includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres following the lecture)
