Never Daunted Moments

It’s who we are
The Never Daunted campaign is our opportunity to rally IU’s alumni, donors, fans, and friends to accelerate our efforts to create a better tomorrow.
Never Daunted honorees
Join us as we celebrate community members who are helping IU make lasting impact across Indiana and around the world.

Colin Ozedmir
After 11-year-old Colin Ozedmir was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, he became the first patient in Indiana to receive a groundbreaking new treatment through a clinical trial at IU School of Medicine.
This delayed the onset of Colin’s diabetes, giving him more time to just enjoy being a kid.
With IU’s help in advancing this clinical trial, the FDA has now approved the treatment for thousands of other kids and patients around the country.
Together, we can accelerate life-changing research that improves clinical care. Give to the IU School of Medicine Fund

Kei Kawata
After experiencing a traumatic brain injury, Kei made it his mission to better understand the effects of repeated head injuries in youth athletes.
His research is helping parents, coaches, and medical professionals develop safer protocols so young athletes can continue playing the sports they love.
One question led to new discoveries, and these new discoveries are helping make sports safer for future generations.
Together, we can train the next generation of researchers. Give to the School of Public Health Annual Giving fund

Charleigh Carter
Inspired by her mother's dream of becoming a nurse, Charleigh came to Indiana University as a first-generation student—determined to pursue a career helping others.
While circumstances prevented her mother from achieving that dream, scholarships made it possible for Charleigh to earn her nursing degree from IU.
Today, Charleigh is helping meet critical health care needs right here in Indiana, serving as a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Help more students like Charleigh access an IU education. Give to the Never Daunted Scholarship Fund
