Limited spots available for IU’s adult learning experience

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Mini University is back on the IU Bloomington campus June 11-16. Sponsored by the IU Alumni Association, this enriching week of adult learning features classes taught by distinguished IU faculty. Registration is open and only a limited number of spaces remain available.

“Mini U invites alumni and friends from across the country (and beyond!) to engage and connect through a shared love of learning and of Indiana University,” said Melissa Nam, associate director of alumni programs with the IU Alumni Association. “IU’s spectacularly talented faculty and compelling array of course offerings are the main draw for adults of all ages to take part in this immersive IU experience.”

Participants have the opportunity to choose from over 80 classes to create their own schedule and spend each day in multiple hour-long sessions to learn about a wide variety of topics such as humanities, the arts, domestic issues, education, and health.

“The Mini U staff works hard to compile a diverse schedule of classes offered by some of IU’s top faculty and experts, and 2023 is no exception,” Nam said. “Whether folks choose to take a deeper dive into a topic they are passionate about or want to step outside their comfort zone and learn something new, there is a class for everyone.”

Pre-registration is required. Those interested can call 812-855-9335 to sign up or visit alumni.iu.edu/miniufor more information.

“Now in its 52nd year, hallmarks of this much-beloved, long-standing program are the strong reverence for nostalgia, a deep appreciation of lifelong learning, and an enduring love for Indiana University,” Nam said. “We look forward to welcoming our Mini U attendees “back home again” to beautiful IU Bloomington each year.”
