Rising Star Award
Our Rising Star Award recognizes IU alumni for their early career accomplishments and community service. Past winners have distinguished themselves in a wide range of fields, including education, law, medicine, music, and more.
Eligibility and nominations
The Rising Star Award is reserved for living alumni of any IU campus, at any degree level, who exemplify moral character that reflects proudly on the university and larger community. Nominees must have at least three years of exemplary professional performance or at least three years of outstanding community service or volunteerism.
Any IU alumnus, faculty, or staff member can nominate a qualified alumnus for the Rising Star Award. Nominations must be submitted no later than June 1.

Alumni Achievement Award
Our Alumni Achievement Award recognizes the lifetime accomplishments of IU alumni across their careers, leadership roles, and community service. Past winners have distinguished themselves in various fields, from business and science to hospitality and construction.
Eligibility and nominations
The Alumni Achievement Award is reserved for living alumni of any IU campuses, at any degree level, who exemplify moral character that reflects proudly on the university and larger community. Nominees must have a history of community service or philanthropic practices, as well as a track record of outreach to IU students, aspiring professionals, or community youth.
Any IU alumnus, faculty, or staff member can nominate an exceptional alumnus for the Alumni Achievement Award. Nominations must be submitted no later than June 1.

Dr. Charlie Nelms Alumni Award
The Dr. Charlie Nelms Alumni Award recognizes IU graduates who have demonstrated a legacy of actionable leadership.
The award’s namesake, two-time IU alumnus Charlie Nelms, is a pillar of the Indiana University community who has dedicated his life to bridging gaps in all areas of life for all people. His admirable accomplishments include a lifetime career in higher education and transformational work to enhance accessibility and support excellence in K-12 schools.
Eligibility and nominations
The Dr. Charlie Nelms Award is reserved for living alumni of any IU campus, at any degree level, who exemplify moral character that reflects proudly on the university and larger community. Nominees must have a track record of long-term impact in their workplace or community and a demonstrated dedication to creating positive change through transcendent leadership.
Any IU alumnus, faculty, or staff member can nominate an exceptional alumnus for the Dr. Charlie Nelms Award. Nominations must be submitted no later than June 1.
